5 Favorite Cookbooks to Try This Fall
Are you a book lover? I am! My husband and I have a collection of books that far outnumbers the bookshelves we own. I am currently searching for more bookshelves because many of our books are still in boxes since we moved this past January. In the age of smartphones, I still love the feel of a good book in my hand. Cookbooks also offer delightful photographs that double as decor for me in my kitchen. A beautiful cookbook on display feels warm and inviting to me! I hope you find this post helpful and enjoyable!

This cookbook offers beautiful food photography and simple recipes for everyday life. I love how the author, Tieghan Gerard, states that food was central in her home growing up which became a large part of her life later. Her goal is to provide recipes that are comforting. Many of the recipes in this book would be wonderful to share with others no matter the size of your family or whether you are cooking for yourself or a friend. Her two other cookbooks are Half Baked Harvest Super Simple: More Than 125 Recipes for Instant, Overnight, Meal-Prepped, and Easy Comfort Foods: A Cookbook and Half Baked Harvest: Recipes from My Barn in the Mountains. If rustic, simple meals appeal to you, you'll enjoy either of these cookbooks.

Do you own an air fryer? I personally have not used one, but I've noticed how much of a trend they are becoming and I'd love to try it! One of my favorite Instagram accounts, Nesting With Grace, sometimes shares air fryer recipes for simple, weeknight meals. I thought many of you would appreciate these recipes. Over 600 recipes are included!
My children and I love watching The Great British Bake Off on Netflix. We often sit and watch several episodes at a time and then will feel hungry as a result. We are often inspired to bake afterward! If you love baking, you will love this book! A fresh baked loaf of bread is always a comforting treat to anyone who may be going through a difficult time. If you aren't into baking, maybe now is a good time to learn!
If you are not familiar with the Whole30 challenge, it is a dietary challenge that eliminates foods that may cause inflammation in your body and then slowly incorporates them back into your diet by the end of the 30 days. I did this challenge several years ago and loved how clean my body felt afterward. While I would recommend this cookbook to anyone who wants to try this diet, I would also recommend asking your doctor first if this would be right for you. Even if you don't want to commit to the full 30 days of this particular challenge, many of these recipes are delicious by themselves and would be a healthy meal option to take to anyone you know who would appreciate this type of meal. I love how this cookbook is dedicated to recipes using a slow cooker or Instant Pot!

5 Favorite Cookbooks to Try This Fall

A few nights ago I attended a mom's night out with some friends from our local church. The aim of our meeting was to eat, fellowship and talk about how we meal prep for our families. Several of my friends shared this book. While I haven't read it yet, I love the message it conveys. I treasure the times around our dining table and also am reminded of how important it is to be intentional with the time spent there. Even if you don't come from a background of faith, you can use your dinner table to bring your family together and say I love you with a meal. Sally Clarkson's book shares stories, recipes and conversation ideas to help bring those in your home closer together.
These are a few of my favorite cookbooks with a few I have wanted to buy to add to our collection. I love having a good cookbook on hand for easy, go-to favorite recipes. I have also borrowed many from friends and family. I hope this post inspires you to find a cookbook you will love as well! Please share your favorites with us!
