Please join us for the Live Oak Church Chili Cook Off and Fall Potluck. Entering the Chili Cook Off is optional and not required to attend this event. This will be great time of fellowship and the perfect opportunity to meet new people and get to know one another better. BE SURE TO READ THROUGH ALL OF THE DETAILS.

POTLUCK:
When considering how much to bring for the potluck, please remember to bring enough to feed your family and your neighbor too.

CHILI COOK OFF:
Think your chili can win over the hearts of the judges? Cook up your favorite crockpot of homemade chili and get ready to compete! All chili must come fully cooked and warmed in a crockpot. Label the type of chili you are entering. Please bring enough to share and a spoon to serve your chili. ALL CHILI ENTRIES MUST BE DROPPED OFF NLT 10:30am THE DAY OF THE POTLUCK TO ALLOW TIME FOR JUDGING. The chili will be judged in the following categories with a scoring of 1-5; presentation, smell/aroma, flavor, texture, overall impression. The chili with the most votes will win. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO ENTER THE CHILI COOKOFF, PLEASE SCROLL DOWN AND SIGN UP FOR CHILI IN THE PERFECT POTLUCK.

PUMPKIN CARVING CONTEST:
There will also be a pumpkin carving/painting contest. All Live Oak kids and youth (preschool - grade 12) are encouraged to participate. Pumpkins can either be carved or painted. They will be judged in the following age categories; preschool, K-2, 3-5, 6-8, 9-12. All entries will be kept anonymous. Bring the carved/painted pumpkins to church the day of the potluck and place them in the designated area. One winner will be chosen from each age category.

PUMPKIN GOSPEL:
There will be a special Gospel presentation using a pumpkin. After we eat, all children will go to the children's building for this special time while the pumpkins are being judged. Contest winners will be announced after the gospel presentation. Parents will need to accompany their children during this time.
