Notes from Sweta & Emma @ACPA . . . ******CRC-VSC****** We wanted to bring to your attention that to volunteer at any event including volunteering at the College Shop (with the exception of Walkathon) that you must have an up-to-date Criminal Record Check along with a completed Declaration Criminal Record. We thank you in advance if you have already started the process and simply ask you to submit to Gabrielle Duffy, our Parent Relations Events coordinator the receipt showing that you have started the process. We realize it can take a little time to get the documents back from the Police within your township. Therefore, the reason that we are accepting the receipt as proof of the process being initiated. If for whatever reason you cannot start the process, then unfortunately you cannot volunteer for Boarder Break nor other events or areas of volunteer obligation at Appleby College until this important process has been initiated. We want to reassure you that the process is quick and easy to complete. Of course, if you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to Weifang Dong, our ACPA Volunteer Coordinator and/or Gabrielle Duffy. As well, please inform Weifang and Gabrielle if you no longer can volunteer at this important event. ************************************ π This will be our first event of the year, and since it falls right before Halloween, we thought it would be the perfect time to give our boarders a chance to both relax and have some fun while taking a break from the pressures of studying and living on their own. That's why we've chosen a Halloween theme -- Frights & Delights ! πΈοΈπ» We'd love for everyone to join in the spirit by bringing Halloween-inspired food donations and, for volunteers, wearing costumes to match the theme. Let's make this a spooky, fun, and memorable event together! |
